Severe Side Effects of Methotrexate

The Methotrexate Side Effects can manifest themselves in either severe form or less severe forms. When the side effects occur in a severe form, this means that the level of intake of this medication is high or an individual has not used this medication in the right manner.

Some of the severe side effects of methotrexate include;

  1. An individual may succumb to unusual bruising and increased bleeding.
  2. An individual may be unable to eat or drink anything.
  3. An individual may experience kidney infections which include kidney toxicity or even kidney failure.
  4. An individual may succumb to jaundice which is a serious disorder and thus one should seek medical care as soon as possible to prevent it from becoming chronic.
  5. The urine and the stool of that individual may have blood spots.
  6. An individual who is under the methotrexate medication may experience frequent diarrhea and vomiting as a result of the intake of the medication.
